Turtle Bay Arboretum and Sundial Bridge
Located in Redding, visit our favorite arboretum and one of the largest sundials in the world! Enjoy lunch at Mosaic, visit the Turtle Bay Museum, and enjoy a walk along the Sacramento River.
Subway Cave and Lassen National Park
Subway cave is a free 1/3 mile hike through a lava tube in the Lassen National Forest. It's about a 45 minute drive east of Redding. Bring a flashlight! We also recommend visiting Manzanita Lake at Lassen National Park. You can hike a short distance up to Chaos Crags.
Mount Shasta
We love Mount Shasta! This is an hour drive north of Redding. We recommend checking out Bunny Flat in the Shasta Trinity National Forest or the Lake Siskiyou trail loop.
Redwood National and State Parks
This is a 2.5 hour drive west of Redding, but well worth the visit if you have a couple extra days!
