Cannon Beach

We are just an hour away from Cannon Beach! This town has some great restaurants, beautiful sights, and the infamous Haystack Rock from the Goonies! Our favorite place to eat here is called the Wayfarer, and has a great view of the beach and excellent food. For a little bit of a more secluded beach just a little more south, look up Arcadia Beach/Hug Point

Portland Japanese Garden

This is a beautiful botanical garden, close to the Zoo as well

International Rose Test Garden

This is a free garden outside of the Hoyt Arboretum with thousands upon thousands of Roses, and is a truly unique place! P.S. --The Hoyt Arboretum is the beautiful nature park where we got married!

Margarita Factory Beaverton

This place has great Mexican food and some of the most unique margaritas you've seen!

Birdie Time Pub and Mini Golf

This is a super fun indoor mini-golf course with great beer!

Eat at a McMenamins

McMenamins has become near and dear to our hearts- so much we chose one of the locations for our reception! From their website: "McMenamins is a family-owned company in the Pacific Northwest serving our own handcrafted beer, wine, cider, spirits and coffee alongside great food since 1983. Steeped in art, history and a sense of place, locations range from neighborhood pubs to historic hotels where live music and history talks are the norm, and soaking pools, movie theaters and other fun prevail." We highly recommend you checking out at least one more McMenamins during your stay- a few of our favorites nearby are McMenamins Rock Creek, McMenamins Cedar Hills, McMenamins Kennedy School, and McMenamins Grand Lodge

McMenamins Rock Creek Tavern

This is another one of our favorite McMenamin's locations! This location has great outdoor seating, pool, and is a short but beautiful drive from our area that lets you explore more of the countryside-vibes Oregon has. Forest Park

Forest Park is a huge nature park with hundreds of native wildlife and plant species, where you can hike among giant Douglas Firs, and has more than 80 miles of trails.

Willamette Valley Vineyards

Oregon has an expansive wine country, with some of the best Pinot Noirs you've ever tasted. Willamette Valley has tons of Vineyards and wineries from Portland to Eugene- we recommend exploring the area if you're up for a venture out of Hillsboro!

WildFin American Grill - Beaverton

This place has great seafood and cocktails!

Golden Valley Brewery And Restaurant

This is one of our go-to restaurants with a classic menu, and great desserts/drinks!

Bargarten Bavarian Social Haus

This is a cool German-style restaurant with nice vibes, food, and drinks!

Tualatin Hills Nature Park

This nature park is one of our favorites in our neck of the woods in Beaverton! It is a great place to walk through and see some beautiful trees, birds, and maybe even a deer! It is a pretty close drive from the venue/Hillsboro and has pretty ample parking.

Abbey Creek Winery: The Crick

This winery plays hip-hop all day and has great food and wine, and some great owners!

Japanese American Historical Plaza

This is an area within the Tom McCall Waterfront park that is known for having some of the most beautiful cherry blossoms in the spring, and is right by the Willamette River.

Tillamook Creamery

Tillamook is the home of the best cheese- seriously. Their creamery has free tours and is great for families (and anyone else who loves a good cheese or ice cream)
