We’re getting married!

Technically you could say our first meeting was when I, Lilly, took horse riding lessons at my soon-to-be Mother-in-law, Lisa's farm. Devin was always down at the barn playing while I was tacking up. As shy as we were, no words were spoken, but a few years later, we became friends on social media and hit it off. While we were still young and had never even talked in person, we easily clicked with each other and always chatted up a storm. Through years of talking over the phone and rarely ever seeing each other in person, one night I asked Devin if he would meet up with me so I could rant about my boy problems…ironic. I guess that’s all it took because here we are years later getting ready to say I Do!

What I thought was going to be another normal family beach trip turned out to be the best, most memorable one yet! We started out our first full day by soaking up the sun and playing in the water. We had left some beach chairs down by the water because we were planning on going back that evening, but we never got the chance to. Devin kept stressing that we needed to go get the beach chairs before the tide came in…but we never did. After dinner, we all decided to go for a sunset walk on the beach. During the walk, Devin kept hanging back and telling me, “We can walk at our own pace, we don’t have to keep up with everyone.” He kept making small talk and romantic comments, but of course I was oblivious. The next thing I knew, Devin was down on one knee popping the big question! My first words were “SHUT UP” but that was the easiest yes I've ever said <3 We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
