I truly didn't think I could be surprised. I found the Zales business card, including a ring serial number, in our key bowl (whoops) and kept the knowledge bottled up for two weeks until I burst. We had a laugh and he said that he didn't buy a ring just yet. Fast forward a couple months, Brandon had just got back from a work trip and we decided to head up to Geneva on the Lake. I donned my rainbow Crocs and University sweatshirt and off we went. Walking along the beach, he stopped and knelt, pointing down at the ground he said "come look at this rock, I'm holding it down". I remember thinking how silly that was, it wasn't going to wash away. As I got closer, Brandon held up the very same ring that he said he didn't order and I was indeed surprised. I said yes, Crocs, rolled up leggings, chipped nail polish and all because all that matters is WE'RE GETTIN' MARRIED!
