We met at “The Quail Party” charity function, benefitting the Charlotte chapter of the First Tee. Although we didn't arrive together, Tommy kept coming up to Deven throughout the evening and eventually asked for her number. After meeting for drinks a few weeks later at Bakersfield, the two had their first date at Kindred Restaurant in Davidson. Two and a half years later, Tommy proposed at Kindred Restaurant on Deven's birthday.
