YES THAT'S RIGHT, we found love in Las Vegas! In August of 2018, we both decided to spend the weekend there to end the summer with our separate groups of friends. The last night, we were introduced in a nightclub by two of our best friends who so happened to meet earlier that day. We had a very good conversation about our interests, our sports, our families and our spirituality (in a nightclub!) and clicked instantly. As it turned out, while we met in a different state, our respective colleges were only 10 minutes away from each-other! Not only were we going to school down the street from one another, but turns out we grew up in the same cities but never once met before. We also found out that we were both born on the 23rd! (6/23/97-Hope, 12/23/94-Deven) It was bound for our paths to eventually cross one day, and the timing was finally perfect. We exchanged numbers, continued our conversation the entire drive back home, and went on our first date the very next day. During our first date, our spark grew over dinner and we ended the night with a nice walk on the beach gazing the stars in the sky. From that very first conversation, we both had a feeling that we were meeting not by coincidence but by purpose and that we were going to make a lasting impression on each-other's lives. We fell in love and were inseparable ever since.

After we just finished eating brunch the day after my sister's wedding, Deven managed to steal me away from my family (which completely threw me off) and bring me 30 minutes to another beach. With the sun beginning to set across the ocean, Deven asked me to go for a walk with him. Shortly into our walk, he reflected on our relationship over the years and proceeded to get on one knee to ask me a very important question - to marry him! I suddenly heard chanting and turned around to see all of our families together surrounding us. In complete shock, I began crying and said "Yes!!". Our story continues and we are so happy to spend the rest of our lives together!
