Let's party

It was November 2020—COVID had halted a return to the office for most Northwestern Mutual employees… except for Hunter and Deven’s teams. Sitting within ten feet of each other, the attraction was instant. We started to flirt, slowly getting to know each other and then after a long game of cat and mouse, a delayed office relocation, and a ’90s bar crawl in the South Side, the rest is history. Life in Pittsburgh was a blur of late nights at Carson City Saloon, legendary meals from Street Noodles (iykyk), and wild Steelers Sundays. But as we got to know each other and explored all Pittsburgh has to offer, we realized we had something else in common—a shared desire to see more. Within a year, we packed up and made our way across PA to Philly, marking the first time we officially lived together. It was a new chapter—quickly learning each other’s quirks and figuring out how to make a small apartment feel like home. Between walks through Fishtown, karaoke at the local watering hole, and a never-ending game of “gunshots or fireworks?”—Philly became our first home. But home wasn’t just a place—it was wherever we were together! Over the next two years, we traveled more than 2,700 miles from Philly to San Diego, making countless stops along the way. We hiked the Blue Ridge mountains in Asheville, NC, relaxed in hammocks under the palms in St. Petersburg, FL, and chased sunsets along the coast of San Diego, CA. Whether it was road-tripping through the desert, swerving around wild donkeys in national parks or pulling over just to take in the view, we embraced every adventure with open arms and excitement. And now, after all those miles, we’ve officially settled down in Austin, TX—a city that already feels like home. Austin rolled out the red carpet for us, and we can’t wait to show you this city firsthand. See y’all in Texas—LET'S GET MARRIED!!!
