Jamie Buechner and Christian Devant met during their first day on the Rockford University cross country team in 2015. They were also teammates during the Track & Field season, so they saw a lot of each other. Jamie and Christian were teammates and friends for their first 2 years at RU, but after both acquiring a job at the Skechers near school, they finally decided to give it a shot in 2017. Jamie graduated in 2018 with her degree in Special Education and Christian graduated in 2019 with his degree in Mathematics. On August 29th, 2020 (their 3 year anniversary), Christian proposed on a sunset dinner cruise over Lake Michigan. It was magical! Christian and Jamie have a 2-year-old puppy, Ivy, and she is the queen of the household. They have been living together for a few years now and are looking forward to forever!
