First, we would like to say how thankful we are for all the support we both have received to this point in our lives. We are looking forward to spending such a meaningful and exciting day with you all. Devan and Natalie both find great joy in spending their time with family and friends. The Groom is Devan Iturrian. Devan grew up in Georgia before moving to Tennessee, which is where he attended College at the University of Tennessee and achieved a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. He is now a Property Accountant for Greystar. Devan really just enjoys being outside, but his main hobbies include golf, soccer, hunting, going to UT football games and now boating. The Bride is Natalie Halligan. Natalie grew up in Ortonville Michigan before venturing to the UP for College at Michigan Tech. Natalie achieved a degree in Engineering Management which she now uses at Cobalt Boats. Natalie has always loved boats and started her career with Malibu Boats right out of college. Natalie also loves being outside. She enjoys boating, camping/hiking, bread making, and gardening. Our story through Devan's eyes: We met at a line dancing bar in Knoxville called The Cotton Eyed Joe through one of our great friends, Connor Ryan (he is a Groomsman). Natalie made the first move by approaching me to find out who I was and why I was invading the group of Malibu Interns. I began conversing with Natalie and quickly offered to buy her a beer before asking for her number as the night drew to a close. It then took some convincing, but I got Natalie to agree to a dinner date at a fancy steak house where we learned that there was definitely a spark. We then went on a hike/waterfall date at Ozone Falls (this place will come back up later) the next week. While the water was freezing (my words not hers) we both had a great time and started hanging out a lot more after that. After about 6 months, Natalie had to leave for Michigan to finish up school. We met up in Cincinnati for New Years which is when I officially asked her to be my girlfriend. The next 5 or so months were spent in mostly separate states (I did go up to visit twice) before Natalie moved back to Tennessee for a job at Malibu. Flash forward another year and half, I woke Natalie up at an absurdly early hour to go on a hike at Ozone Falls on our 2 year dating anniversary. We made the hour drive before setting out on a short hike to the top of the waterfall where I had my good friend Dan set up with a camera. As we were looking out and talking, I smoothly grabbed the ring out of my pocket before dropping to one knee and asking Natalie to marry me. She quickly said yes, and we have hit the ground running to plan our Wedding Day. We are both so excited to celebrate with all of you at our ceremony and reception in April.
