There are a ton of hotels in the area, and two excellent choices that are one block (not kidding) from Harvest Inn – Check out the El Bonita Motel and Vineyard Country Inn. I would suggest getting a group together and renting an AirBnB or VRBO for the weekend! There are so many options as far as number of rooms/costs. Other hotels in the area are Wydown Hotel, Southbridge, Meadowood Napa Valley, Rancho Caymus Inn and Wine Country Inn & Cottages.. just to name a few! There is also a DoubleTree, Hilton, Marriott and many others in Downtown Napa, Calistoga and Yountville. Please note that it is best to book your hotel as early as possible to avoid paying higher rates as we get closer to the date.
Napa is extremely casual! It can get a little chilly in November, so I would plan to pack some layers. Like FL, Napa's weather can be unpredictable and changes quickly. Plan to wear casual, comfortable attire during the day and be sure to bring a jacket! The only time during the weekend you'll dress up is for the wedding and rehearsal dinner! We want everyone to be comfortable and prepared in case it is a little chilly.
Most Napa wineries require them, especially if you want a tour or a tasting experience with food pairings. An easy way to book a tour/tasting is through exploretock.com. Capacity restrictions are often a condition of their winery permit, imposed by the county. Make your reservations well in advance at the more popular wineries if you want to be guaranteed a spot. Prices for tastings range anywhere from $25-$85, and even higher depending on where you go and what you are signing up for. There are many tasting rooms that you can walk right into without a reservation however so don't worry. We won't let you leave Napa without tasting something! :)
Yes! There is a large parking lot at the hotel and there is valet. Uber and Lyft are also available but not always as reliable in the later evenings. There is a shuttle at the hotel that can take you anywhere within a 3 mile radius for no charge.
We love your kids — yes, they are. But, we want our wedding to be your night off! One thing to note as well, most wineries and tasting rooms do not allow children. The hotel we are staying at is the site of the wedding ceremony and reception. Staying at Harvest Inn will allow you the opportunity to go in and check on the babes if you decide to bring them and bring or hire a sitter.
The wedding is black tie optional. For the ladies: a long dress or a formal cocktail dress. For the men: a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie.
The ceremony and dinner will be outdoors, dancing will be indoors, however. The weather will be in the 60-70's during the day and could be in the 40's-50's at night, so be sure to bring a jacket or some sort of wrap. There will be heat lamps at the reception during dinner.
There will not be transportation provided. Taxi's, Uber, and Lyft are both great options on a Friday night in St. Helena.
St. Helena is literally on the "50-yard line" of the Napa Valley. It is in between Rutherford, Oakville, Yountville (south) & Calistoga (north). Staying close to any of these towns is a good idea!
