Deep in the Tuscan hills, Patrignone is a villa in Tuscany, far away from any noise or light pollution. But despite its peaceful setting, this villa is right in the middle of Chianti, at the epicentre of Tuscany's cultural treasures, just 10 minutes from the beautiful hill-top town of Castellina in Chianti, with its restaurants, cafés and shops (and a good supermarket). Siena is just 35 minutes away, and Florence 40 minutes in the other direction, San Gimignano is 30 mins away, with Volterra the next town along

Late spring in Tuscany means good weather and mild temperatures with long lovely sunny days. You should know - especially if you are coming from the southern hemisphere - that June is the month of the year with the longest days: the sun rises around 5 am and sets around 9:30 pm. These long and pleasant days are perfect to enjoy a trip to Tuscany and rain is quite rare during these month. That's when the Tuscan countryside reaches its peak of beauty and the landscape is full of many beautiful and colorful flowers. With June ushering summer in, plan for warm weather in Tuscany, with afternoon temperatures climbing up to 28°C (82°F to 86°F) – and occasionally into the 30s.
