Gay of Honor
Zach and Devan have been friends for 10 years. They met performing in Mary Poppins at Artpark in Lewiston NY. Their friendship sparked all because they had on matching denim shirts. Since that first rehearsal they knew they would be life long friends. Both moving to NYC around the same time Zach has been a constant support for Devan and vice versa. They’ve seen each other through many variations of themselves, and the people they dated :) Devan would not be the person she is today if it wasn’t for Zach. He has helped her find her last two jobs so she literally owes her lively hood to him. Devan is, however, a little concerned about his TikTok and Reels algorithm, and is still not convinced he wont find a way to bring a llama or alpaca to any wedding events. Despite that Devan would not be able to say yes without her favorite B!&$H by her side.
Flower Gay
Jason and Devan met while performing in The Wizard of Oz in China. Jason joined the cast part way through the contract replacing one of Devan’s closest friends and cast mates, so not only did Jason take over that role on stage he had to take over off stage as well. Devan and Jason soon became close friends venturing around China together. Upon returning home to NYC they ended up living just a few blocks away from each other. Jason soon left again to tour with the musical Chicago but Mother Nature had a different idea and the world shut down due to COVID. Once Jason was able to make his way back to NYC him and Devan decided to become roommates and moved into a 6 floor walk up. It was here where their friendship grew and strengthened. Jason mentioned once that he wanted to be a flower girl so when Kyle proposed Devan knew she had no other choice but to make Jason’s dream come true!
Best Man
Kyle always knew his brother Michael would be his best man at his wedding. Michael has been stuck with Kyle since the very first day he was brought home from the hospital. As kids they were inseparable and have grown into best friends as adults. Michael has always supported Kyle in all his endeavors anyway he could. They’ve traveled the country on numerous summer roadtrips together and they’re always up for a sailing adventure on the high seas. They both share a love of all things nerdy and while it isn’t clear who has the greater Star Trek/Star Wars knowledge, when it comes to video games, Kyle is always Mario, and Michael is always Luigi. While Kyle never fails in his younger brother duties in annoying his older sibling from time to time, he couldn’t imagine his life without him in it and certainly couldn’t imagine this important day without him by his side.
Groomsman
Kevin and Kyle met in Highschool but didn’t connect as friends until after College. Since then, their friendship grew over their shared love of all things video games, tech, brewing, and movies. Always down for a game night, even the pandemic wouldn’t hold things up as their online Catan games really helped pass the days in that difficult time. Both beer aficionados, they ventured into homebrewing resulting in several decent……and not so decent brew batches. Kevin has always been a supportive friend, going to Kyle’s community theater shows (mainly to take photos to make memes out of), and reluctantly agreeing to sailing trips that always somehow had inclimate weather. Over the course of numerous trips to Atlantic City, annual Mets games, and plenty of brewery visits, it was clear that the guy who had become like a second brother to him would be included as part of this important day.
Officiant
Your Emcee for the evening! Jenna has been an amazingly supportive friend for Devan and Kyle. They both knew that Jenna would be their officiant even before they were engaged. Fate brought Devan and Jenna together in 2019 when they became roommates. However, they became closer friends during the pandemic. It isn’t surprising that Kyle quickly became close with Jenna as well as they welcomed him into this crazy friend group. Jenna always shares wisdom that is beyond their years. Devan and Kyle are privileged to have them play such an important role in their special day.
