There are 19 golf courses in Pinehurst (9 public and 10 private)!. There are also 21 golf courses within 20 miles of Pinehurst (18 public, 3 private). Needless to say, we play a lot of golf so if you do too here are a few of our favorites! Just make sure to finish the last hole in time to get to the wedding!
Where we got engaged!
Devan's favorite!
This is the golf course that Devan is a member! A great affordable 18 hole option
The Spa at Pinehurst offers a peaceful retreat from the wedding excitement, featuring award-winning treatments designed to soothe the mind and body. Anna recommends the Pinehurst Signature Facial!
The best apart about the Carolina Hotel at the Pinehurst Resort - you don't need to be a guest to enjoy it! Devan and Anna enjoy walking the grounds, eating at the Deuce (where we had dinner before we got engaged!), picking up coffee from the Coffee House in the lobby or simply sitting in the rocking chairs on the porch. Don't forget to check out the shops inside as well!
We went here as a part of our first date! The lake loop is 2 miles long. Here you can enjoy some peace, and maybe even take in the sunset on Friday, but not Saturday!
If you know Anna, she loves to "dilly dally" and this is her favorite place to do it! Downtown Southern Pines is a charming historic district centered around active railroad tracks. You can enjoy one of the many local shops or acclaimed local eateries; there are no big-name brands here! The walkable small-town atmosphere is what Devan and Anna fell in love with. A few of Anna's favorites: Against the Grain Shoppe and Denker's Dry Goods!
It's not downtown - it's the "Village." A national Historic Landmark that will make you feel you have been plucked out of North Carolina and landed right in New England. With winding lanes and lush greenery, the village's charm is sure to impress. You may see a golf cart or two driving around in the Home of American Golf as you navigate between the upscale boutiques, local eateries, and storied historic inns. Anna's Favorites: Pinehurst Olive Oil Company, Cameron & Co., and the Village Wine Shoppe!
Not only is this where Devan and Anna ate with their friends moments before Devan proposed, it was also voted "Best New Restaurant in Golf" by Golfing Magazine. It overlooks the 18th hole of the famed Pinehurst #2 in a casual atmosphere.
Can't decide what you're in the mood for? Red's Corner is the place to be! It’s a lively food truck rodeo with a rotating daily lineup, offering plenty of variety for the whole group in a fun, open-air setting.
Another first date spot for Devan and Anna. Chapman's is a buzzy tavern with sidewalk seats for American-style cuisine, craft cocktails and local draft beer
Where golf historian and pub-style food meet. This restaurant is great for those who want to experience an upscale, modern pub atmosphere. Named after the legendary golf writer Bob Drum and the "quill" he used to document the great game.
We love our town and want you to experience it!
The local coffee shop that Anna is loyal to. Friendly staff, fun local flair, and a variety of drinks you are sure to enjoy. While you're at it, take home a bag of fresh ground coffee beans to take a piece of Moore County with you!
Just steps away from the resort is one of the most unique watering holes in the world. Created by the Aberdeen Carolina & Western Railway, this open-air, pour-your-own bar is built inside a fully restored, repurposed CSX locomotive. Take a seat and enjoy your beverage on top of the rooftop, giving you 360-degree views of the surrounding golf courses, or enjoy playing conductor in the conductor's cab that has remained largely intact. Stone-baked pizzas are also served on this locomotive. With all of that and an outdoor area to play cornhole, the whole family is sure to enjoy.
