We're getting married!

My friend texted me one day saying that she wanted to set me up with one of her boyfriend's friends and even though I was very hesitant about it, I agreed. We showed up at the house to watch the Huskers play and that's when I met Chris. After hanging out all night, we decided to go out on an actual date a couple days later and just kept hanging out ever since!

With it being during the holidays, Chris was working weekends and told me to get ready so that we could get dinner after he was off work. Well if anyone has ever met me, I'm always running late. He got home and I was just getting out of the shower and trying to get ready and I hear him call me downstairs. I kept thinking "what does he want, I need to get ready" and as I come down the stairs, all of the lights are off but the Christmas tree is lit up. It did not register to me AT ALL what was going on until he started playing our song "Beyond" by Leon Bridges. He pulls me close, gets down on one knee, reaches into the tree and pulls out the box and asks me to marry him! After 45 mins of crying from excitement, we finally got ready and met friends and family to celebrate!
