We met working in the same squadron within the New Hampshire Air National Guard. We were friends at first, then that bond grew stronger during a six month deployment to Kuwait. We supported and helped each other grow in a challenging environment. When we returned home, we realized we didn't want that to end. We've been together ever since. <3
Kyle was a romantic mastermind in creating the proposal. I was away on a military deployment for training in Alaska and he was busy plotting and planning. Not only did he fly to Buffalo, New York to get me the perfect ring, but when I returned from my trip, he orchestrated a recreation of a day we spent in North Conway almost exactly a year prior. We hiked the same mountain we hiked the year before and I was hopefully suspicious that the big question was coming. He told me we had reservations at a nice restaurant and I was sure he was going to propose there until he turned down a trail next to Chocorua Lake. As the car came to a stop I saw a bouquet of flowers waiting in the center of a beautiful bridge. He popped the question on that bridge and of course I said yes!
