Amanda and Michael met online during COVID, when dating looked a little different and simple moments meant everything. What started as a conversation about pineapple fun facts, quickly turned into easy laughter and a connection that felt natural from the very beginning. Their first few dates were refreshingly low-key... grabbing a beer after work, cheering on the New York Giants, and discovering that friendly competition was very much part of their dynamic during axe throwing and go-carting. As the world slowly opened back up, so did their lives together - filled with adventure, travel and unforgettable memories. From a road trip down South in search of the best BBQ, to two European trips that included the incredibly sentimental experience of meeting each others relatives in Italy, their relationship continued to grow deeper with every mile travelled. Along the way came spontaneous trips to Colorado, Wyoming, Georgia, Florida and of course, Washington State - where Michael proposed. Michael told Amanda the trip was to Seattle for work (which was mostly a lie). After spending some time exploring Seattle, the two rented a car and drove two hours to Leavenworth, Washington - a charming Bavarian-style town that, in December, is completely transformed with Christmas lights. It felt like stepping into a real-life Hallmark Christmas movie! Michael said he had made reservations at a local winery, but little did Amanda know (because she is horrible with directions), he had a plan all along. He pulled off at a scenic overlook surrounded by mountains and evergreens, with a rushing river below. Two photographers were waiting patiently, having decorated the spot with red roses and marquee letters spelling out "Marry Me". That's when he got down on one knee, tears in his eyes, and asked Amanda to spend forever with him. Later that night, after the sun went down, Michael surprised Amanda again by bringing the photographers back to capture photos in the glowing downtown square - so she could have both of her favorite things: breathtaking views and a whole lot of Christmas magic. What began during an uncertain time became the most steady, adventurous and meaningful part of their lives. Now, they're so excited to celebrate the next chapter of their story with the people they love most.
