We officially met in seventh-grade art class. However, even though we met in seventh grade, we didn't keep in touch. (The groom fumbled the ball on that one!) We had our re-introduction in ninth-grade gym class. We've stayed fairly close by ever since!

Don't believe the old saying, "Third time's the charm!", because it only took us two tries! We had a VERY short high school relationship, which resulted in us deciding we were better off staying friends. Ha! (Fun fact: The bride dumped the groom on his birthday sophomore year. Although she swears it was by accident!) Our official anniversary date is 9/1/2020.

The bride was very insistent on getting engaged and getting married on the same day as their anniversary, September 1st. However, the groom really wanted it to be a surprise, so he wanted it to be on a random day that the bride wouldn't see coming. So we compromised and he proposed on September 1, 2024! #HappyWifeHappyLife
