Are children allowed?

Answer

Have you met us? Yes! Rosalina will obviously be present and we welcome all littles within reason to be mindful that it is an event where there may need to be a few moments of quiet to hear one another.

Are you registered?

Answer

Technically we just currently have the registry though this site, Zola, but we are trying to save for a down payment on a home so if you bring a card and would like to include cash or a check with one of our names on it in the envelope that would be appreciated too! No gifts are necessary, we pretty much have all of the essentials. No idea what we are doing for a “honeymoon” yet, but open to ideas and suggestions!

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Technically we are inviting just those we would like to be involved with our day, but depending on who it is you’d like to bring we just ask that you mention it to us beforehand and it should be fine. We’re pretty chill.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Not exactly! Cheapest hotels in the general area are Super 8, Days Inn, Quality Inn, Americinn, Baymont by Windham, and WoodSpring Suites. The Sheraton in West Des Moines is relatively well known and in that same area is the Wildwood Lodge that looks very nice. Upscale hotels in Downtown Des Moines would be Des Lux Hotel, Surety Hotel, and Hotel Fort Des Moines.

I can’t find the venue…where is it?

Answer

-From North (I-35 S / I-80 S): Take I-35 S/I-80 S toward Des Moines. Merge onto I-235 E (Exit 137). Take Exit 1A for 63rd St. Turn right onto 63rd St, which becomes Walnut St, then continue onto SW 21st St, and eventually George Flagg Pkwy. -From South (I-35 N): Take I-35 N to Exit 68 for IA-5/US-65 N. Continue on IA-5 N and take the exit toward Fleur Dr. Turn left onto Fleur Dr. Turn left onto George Flagg Pkwy. -From East (I-80 W): Merge onto I-235 W. Take Exit 10 for 56th St. Turn left onto 56th St, then turn right onto Park Ave. Turn left onto Fleur Dr, then right onto George Flagg Pkwy. -From West (I-80 E): Merge onto I-35 S/I-80 E. Follow signs for I-235 E. Take Exit 1A for 63rd St, follow as above.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance. We currently plan to have simple appetizers, snack foods, and desserts along with the drink bar but are not planning for entrees to be ordered.

Is it inside or outside?

Answer

With the way Iowa summers feel, we plan to use both the indoor and outdoor features of the venue. We are still fine tuning which areas we will use when, but there is good AC and quite a few trees around outside.

What does parking look like?

Answer

There is a decent sized lot for everyone to park in but if for whatever reason it fills up there is another parking lot across the street I’m sure we can utilize. I will ask.

What happens if it rains?

Answer

Our ceremony will move indoors to the room where the reception is set to be.

What will dinner look like?

Answer

Heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served, not refined entrees.

When should we RSVP?

Answer

Please RSVP to Destiny by February 1, 2027! Whether yes or no, so that we can prepare properly.

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

We will have a cash bar available at the venue for guests to purchase their preferred drinks after the first drink per guest being on us! Thank you for coming to celebrate us!
