We met on tinder, and moved to talking on Marco Polo. We talked day and night! One day he messaged me when he knew I was still in bed, and I waited till I was ready for the day to respond. His response was “Marco Polo is what you see is what you get, so tomorrow when I say good morning, you better still be in bed when you respond to me” so by the time we had met in person we had seen each other in ALL stages of our day. He invited me to a Halloween party. The day of I tried to cancel, I was freaking nervous. I told him I felt like I was walking into a lions den. I didn’t know anyone, I had never met him in person. It just felt like it was all too much. So he called me and told me to get up and get ready and we would go get sushi so that I couldn’t say I didn’t know anyone. We went to sushi, and then the Halloween party. It was the perfect day! After a month or so we introduced our kids to each other. They all blended so well, almost like they had never not known each other. Jason asked me to be his girlfriend in November… I told him no. He told me he respected that but the ball was now in my court and he would never ask me again. Then on December 5th I asked “do you want to be my boyfriend or what!?” 😂😂 A year later we moved in together with our kids and our blended family was like we were always meant to be! We bought our first home together in 2022, almost a year after that Jason planned an anniversary date for us and I had a hunch he was going to purpose so to throw me off, at dinner he gave me a box filled with pictures of us and a ring that had our kids birthstones on it. After our dinner we had to go pick up our kids from my moms house little did I know most of our favorite people were there with our kids to “celebrate our anniversary” I was showing off the birthstone ring and making jokes about how we were never going to get engaged and I turned around and he was down on one knee asking me to marry him! ❤️
