Cody and I grew up together from middle School to High School! We didn’t really know each other until we were sophomores in High school at North Forsyth High! Cody asked me for a ride home from school one day and that’s how we really started to know each other! I met his sister Courtney in science class, we started hanging out, and sure enough, we became best friends. Me and Cody then became really close to talking almost every day to hanging out until he got a girlfriend and we drifted apart! I continued to hang out with his sister Courtney, and things didn't work out with him and his girlfriend. After awhile, we started talking and hanging out again! And sure enough, he asked me to be his girlfriend! I wasn’t really sure I was ready for a relationship at this time because I just got out of a crazy relationship myself, but I kept having this gut feeling he would be the man of my dreams. All of my best friends kept telling me to give him a chance because the guy you don’t see yourself, is the guy that you normally end up spending the rest of your life with! And THEY WERE RIGHT!! I finally said yes to being Cody’s girlfriend and since then it’s been history! He has been the best thing that has happened to me and my beautiful daughter, Charlie!

Cody had planned a new years weekend away with his family in Sevierville Tennessee. Little did I know I would be saying “YES” to forever On January 1st, Cody, myself, my daughter, and his family all went to Caves Cove for family photos with the beautiful mountain sunset! He had told me he wanted me and Charlie to have some photos done as well! When we arrived, it was absolutely beautiful seeing the sunset on top of the mountains. Cody told me to turn around to look at the sunset, and as I turned back around, he was on one knee and ASKED ME TO MARRY HIM and of course, I said YES with happy tears ruining down my face! I can’t wait for you guys to celebrate our forever! See you soon!
