It truly started with playful nicknames—"Asian sis" and "White brother"—at a middle school track meet. Little did we know, our moms sitting together at those meets was a sweet hint of our families coming together. Fate worked its magic again during our freshman year when Blaze spotted me in an elevator at Live on the Green in Nashville. He thought I was "sooo cute," and from that night on, we never stopped talking! A little while later, Blaze was performing in his fraternity’s dance show, and I just had to be there to cheer him on. That night, my friend Dana played matchmaker and invited Blaze over to our little get together, and from the moment we reconnected, we just knew we were meant for each other! We started hanging out every weekend, going on dates, and I was (im)patiently waiting for him to make it official. Blaze picked the perfect date—12.23, our favorite numbers—to finally ask me to be his girlfriend after a sweet date at Fin Fusion. Six years of love, laughter, and adventure later, Blaze planned the most amazing proposal in Seaside, Florida.
