We met in May 2016 on a Carnival Cruise. Carlos was celebrating his college graduation with friends and Lauren was having a relaxing time with her mom and sister. My version of the story: I looked down and realized someone had put a piece of bread with pencil engraved IN THE BREAD - "you're beautiful". My first instinct was to think - who would do that to a piece of bread? I looked across the table and realized the guy at the table across from mine had dropped it off. He came over and introduced himself as "Josh Hamilton" and I knew he was confident, cute & trouble LOL. He was up dancing and tried to get me to dance with him and I was not impressed. I saw him several times over the trip, he kept asking to get me a drink or to play cornhole. I finally agreed to play cornhole and that's when his friend, Brandon, let it slip that his name was actually Carlos. Writing on bread and a fake name? Who is this guy? I went back to sit down and didn’t talk to him again haha. He asked me for a picture the last night of the cruise and that was it. After some time passed, we connected on social media, (being the investigator I am, I found him, haha). I apologized for being sassy & we started messaging back and forth. Fast forward a few months, Carlos came on a work trip to Nashville and drove to Memphis to officially meet me and brought a loaf of bread with him. I realized he was more than just the bread boy and the rest is history! :)
