Public gatherings, unless exempted, are limited to 25 people when social distancing cannot occur. Gatherings of any size should continue practicing physical distancing. Masks: Under a directive in effect beginning Nov. 20, face coverings are required in all indoor spaces open to the public. Under a Nov. 17 directive, restaurants, bars, breweries, distilleries and casinos must operate at 50 percent capacity and close no later than 10 p.m.
Layers, layers, layers. Make sure to check the weather, but just be mindful of the fact that it's winter, in Montana... so you'll want to make sure to pack loads of warm clothes options and shoes with good grip (no one likes to slip and fall on ice). Don't forget scarves, hats, gloves! Lotion, especially for our humid-climate guests, as it is dry in Montana and your skin will most likely not like this.
Bozeman airport to the Rainbow Ranch area is a 45min to hour drive, so if you're landing late in Bozeman, we definitely recommend waiting until the next morning to drive over. Remember, it's Montana, so chances are you'll come across animals on the road, which does not have street lights and for most of the drive is a winding road. Please, be safe and be smart. Uber/Lyft is not in the Big Sky area, sound like there might be a local taxi option, but do not rely on this being your go-to transportation. When in Bozeman, Ubers are an option.
Our ceremony will be taking place inside of Rainbow Ranch Lodge. The reception and "after party" will be taking place in the barn/tent down by the river, so you will want to bring a coat to wear to/from that space, and to have if you'd like to spend some time around the firepit. Cocktail attire, again please be mindful of what will keep you warm (ladies, you might want long dresses and men, long-sleeves will probably be best). Wedding party colors are navy blue and light grey. Rehearsal dinner guests, cocktail attire is also welcome, or you can be a bit more casual.
Skiing at Big Sky (Brian's going Monday 12/28 in the morning) If you want to go skiing, we recommend you buy your tickets ahead of time; this will save you some $$ and will secure your lift ticket for the day (not sure if they’ll limit this with COVID). You can rent gear at the top of the mountain, at the base in Big Sky Town Center, or in Bozeman. Dog Sledding (Destini's going Monday 12/28 @ 9:30am; on the 2.5 hr trip) Two different options available: 2.5 hour trip or 1 hour trip Snowmobiling (We are going in West Yellowstone Thursday 12/31, 8am-5pm) We've rented Polaris 550 INDYs (for Brian, Destini, Norm) but it's up to you what you want, if you'd like to join us you must reach out to Lisa to reserve your sled.
