Imagine - Strangers who met online agree to a first date at Stars & Strikes. Combine those first date jitters with a mildly anxious girl and a very shy guy and it makes for a very interesting time LOL. Within a few minutes of seeing the chaos of Stars & Strikes, we decided to go across the street to Frankies Fun Park, which worked perfectly. We played putt putt and we hung out in the outdoor area to get to know each other - or at least try to. If you know anything about Jamontae, you know that until he knows you and is comfortable around you, you get NOTHING from him. He barely talked on the first date and gave a painfully awkward sideways church hug at the end of the date. It wasn't until the second date at Longhorn that sparks began to fly. After barely speaking on the first date, we sat in Longhorn for hours, laughing and talking - so long that the waitress had to remind us that they were closed and we had to leave. From that moment, we became inseparable, falling for each other more and more with each passing day. And then, on January 1, 2024, in Charlotte after a night out, surrounded by lingering Christmas decor, Tae proposed, to which the only right answer was YES. As we prepare to exchange vows and profess our love in front of our cherished loved ones, we are overcome with joy and excitement for what the future holds. We look forwards to beginning this new chapter as partners in life and we are so grateful for the love and support of our family and friends as we step into this next phase of our journey.
