May 31st, 2014 was an exciting day for both of us. We both were preparing to move into new homes in Baltimore, and were eager to start living the single life with our best friends. Little did we know, God's plans for us were about to become intertwined. My Dad and I opened the door to my new house at 1008 S. Potomac Street and were surprised to see the previous tenants furniture and boxes still in the house. We put my boxes in my room upstairs and decided to investigate. I noticed a family calendar hanging in the master bedroom, but more importantly, I noticed the guy in the pictures was that good-looking guy from the gym. "Wow, look at how he organizes his watches. Maybe he can be your boyfriend!" My dad joked. We unloaded more boxes and left to get another round. Simultaneously, Chris and his roommate, Joe, opened the door to their house at 1008 S. Potomac Street and were surprised to see new furniture and boxes in the house. They went upstairs to investigate. Joe noticed a box of pictures in his room and noticed the girl in the pictures was Chris' gym crush. "Dude, you're not going to believe who's moving in. It's the girl from the gym," Joe said. They loaded more boxes and left to go take another round to their new house. When we both went back to that famous house on 1008 S. Potomac Street, it was instant. My heart still stops and swells as I write about it now. "Hey, you go to Merritt (our gym), right?" I asked. "Yeah, I'm Chris. I've noticed you there too," Chris said with a smooth smile. From that moment, I was intrigued, and from that day, we have been together. Through the ups and downs, new careers, new cities, and friends, we know that Destiny has kept us together. We are so excited to celebrate with you in Destin: a place that culminates not only our lifestyle and personality, but that also represents our love which was destined from the start.
