Answer

Both the ceremony & reception are located at Abbington Distinctive Banquets https://abbingtonbanquets.com/ 3S002 Il Rte 53, Glen Ellyn, IL 60137 The venue is wheelchair accessible.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue(s)?

Answer

There is parking located at the venue.

Question

Is the wedding indoors, outdoors, or both?

Answer

The wedding will take place indoors. However, there is an outdoor patio attached to the reception room for fresh air.

What time should guests arrive?

Answer

Please arrive at 2:30 which is 30 minutes earlier than time given on your invitation. After 2:30 guests will have to remain in their cars until the ceremony is over, as no guests are allowed to loiter in the lobby. Wedding & Reception will start promptly.

Dress Code?

Answer

We ask that you wear semi-formal attire such as a cocktail-length dress or dressy separates for women and for men a dress shirt with khakis or other lightweight slacks; jackets and ties optional.

Any specific colors preferred or not allowed?

Answer

Due to a traditional choice, we would appreciate if White is avoided. Other colors to avoid are Navy Blue, Gold & Purple. Additionally, men please refrain from wearing all black attire.

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to the limited seating arrangements, we kindly ask that guests refrain from bringing additional guests unless those guests are specifically mentioned on the invitation. Thank you so much for your understanding.

Children allowed or no children allowed? Is there an age cut off?

Answer

The wedding is an adults-only event, only guests over the age of 18 are invited.

What time is the ceremony over, will there be an after party?

Answer

For those guests attending the ceremony it will conclude at 4pm, followed by champagne & hors d'oeuvres in the venue lobby with doors for the reception opening at 5:30.

Answer

The reception will conclude at 11pm.

So about my phone, am I allowed to take pictures, and or record during the ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged, as we encourage you to be our guest and let the photographer take care of the rest. After the ceremony please feel free to use your phone & cameras as you wish. We only ask that you be mindful of our camera crew and that if you post on social media to use our hashtag #DestinedToBeLewis
