We had known each other for years having gone to The King's Academy our entire school careers, but feelings were not caught until sophomore and junior year. We were always great friends, like since early middle school, but Titanic the Musical is when we really caught feelings for each other. After wrapping the show, the talking and hanging out never stopped. Then he asked for me to be his date to prom that year. Me being the oblivious person I am, had no idea he liked me. On my sixteenth birthday, David showed up to my national horse show competition with my favorite flowers and invited me to ice-cream later that night. He asked me to be his girlfriend, and absolutely dumbfounded, I of course said yes!
Due to busy schedules, David had planned four days that month to do fun things with me so I wouldn't expect what would happen at the end of the month. December 30th rolled around and I nearly thought we were going to celebrate New Years early. When we got into the car, he took me around town to everyplace where we had a first milestone in our relationship. Then he took me where we took our first prom pictures. There he has set up a beautiful display of flowers, pictures, and candles leading the way to the end of the dock. Before I knew it, he got down on one knee and popped the question. I said "YES!!!"
