We first matched on Tinder and started talking in January or February of 2019. At the time, Bryant was in Wyoming but he asked if I would like to get dinner when he came back. I said, "of course!" He offered to cook for me at his house on the lake. Sounded dreamy! While I was driving to his "Lake House," I started to lose cell reception. I was comforted by the fact that I had brought my dog and told my best friend the address to where I would be going at least. His house was down a winding, gravel road and it was March, so snow and ice were still a factor. It was looking a bit treacherous, but I had a jeep. When I arrived, I took notice of how this bachelor with two dogs didn't have the cleanest home, but it was nothing I couldn't look past. He was going to make steak and potatoes, my favorite! He had some trouble getting the pellet grill to work (someone left the plug in buried under the snow and accidentally nicked it while shoveling the driveway). By this point I was pretty hungry and feeling uneasy in general and to top it off, Oakley had a (very bad) accident on his couch. I saw no way to recover from this..so I made an excuse, apologized, and left. Fast forward to St. Patrick's Day, I was out with some friends and ran into him. He saw me but ignored me which I could understand. I approached him, apologized and tried to explain myself. He soon forgave me and bought me a drink and we kept talking. I was introduced to Bradley and Benton that night as well and had a hard time keeping them all straight, but I'm happy to say, I finally have it down. They gave me and my friend a ride back to my house later and went on their way. Bryant and I kept in touch and were able to have a first date re-do at Texas Roadhouse. Needless to say, this date went much better and Bryant asked me to be his girlfriend soon after. I soon moved to Florida to be with him where he worked and we have had many adventures since then!
Bryant proposed to me while we were at a Wild hockey game! He accidentally spilled the beans about his plans, so I was nervous the whole time and wondering if he was going to do it. I was still so surprised when he got down on one knee! It was so exciting and creative. The game itself was also amazing and the Wild won that night, which we took as a good sign!
