Rick and I originally met sometime around the year 2009/2010. We both worked in the same building on Quantico and he had a close friend he would often stop by to visit. He was always polite and always said hello (to EVERYONE) when he would visit. We never held one single conversation back then and it was strictly professional. I would often see him at different events, and again we would speak but no further conversation. Fast forward to October 2, 2021 a platonic friend we share invited the both of us to her retirement party. Rick asked for my number that night. I gave him my number, but I did not hear from him until New Years Day 2022. He invited me to his home for a football party the next day. Of course, I was thinking - "I am not going to this guys house. I don't even know him like that. " However, he assured me that people would be there that I knew. As the evening dragged on the Sunday, and boredom settled in, I decided to go. After the party, he walked me to my car...and again said, I am going to call you! That phone call the next day led to many more phone conversations...and dates...and trips......and LOVE!

I met Jennifer Davis back in 2010. She was at that time Master Sergeant Davis, working with a friend of mine, Mr. Vince Bradley. We would say hello and keep it moving as we kept our relationship professional. I did not see Jennifer for some years later when we ran into each other at Susan Reed's retirement party October 2, 2021. During the course of the night, I asked for her phone number, and said I would give a call. I decided to call her New Year's Eve before I left to go out of town. We started dating February 2022. Through months of traveling and getting to know each other, on Christmas Day I asked Jennifer Davis to marry me.
