Chris and Aryssa first met at a music festival in Austin, Texas in the spring of 2015. They were introduced briefly by friends at the festival but did not see or speak to each other until months later back in Los Angeles at another music festival. They spoke and quickly caught up, but again went their separate ways. A couple of months later they ran into each other at a birthday party, Chris was headed out while Aryssa was just arriving. The encounter was again fleeting, but Aryssa could sense a connection brewing. She asked a mutual friend about Chris; if he was available and if they would be a good match. The friend thought they’d be a great match and promised to mention it to Chris the next time they spoke. However, before the friend ever got the chance to bring it up, Chris asked about Aryssa. Their first date was in Downtown Los Angeles in the fall of 2016. They’ve been inseparable since. They love going to music concerts and traveling together. Their first trip was to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic in 2017. Since then, they've traveled to over ten destinations including, Mexico, Brazil, the Bahamas, and lived in Miami together for a short while. In July 2021, Chris privately proposed to Aryssa in Kona, Hawaii while the two enjoyed a sunrise view of the ocean.
