This story starts 13 years ago, at the Albion Fair. It was a typical fair day, until walking through a vendor's tent, Lizzie and Cody locked eyes for the first time. Lizzie describes the moment as being one in which the rest of the world melted away, and all she could see was Cody. In fact, later that night, Lizzie even told a friend she was pretty sure she would marry Cody (good call, Lizzie)! Cody says he had never seen someone more beautiful in his life, and he just wanted to know Lizzie. They found one another a few days later on MySpace and through some trial and error, long chats, hours-long phone calls, and a bit of long-distance (Cody had moved to Denver just days after the spark at the fair, and moved home just for Lizzie), the couple spent a year of their youth spending every moment together. Like many young loves, the couple needed some time apart to grow separately before they could grow together. Cody moved to Florida, and Lizzie moved all over. They maintained contact, and a friendship they both admit today was a coverup for being endlessly in love with one another. In 2013, when the time was right, Cody and Lizzie admitted to one another that love again, and they tested the waters as adults instead of kids. A year later, in 2014, Cody moved home for the second time to be with Lizzie and the rest is history. The couple dived back in, and there was no looking back for either of them as they decided then and there they were it for each other. In 2017, Cody and Lizzie visited Boston and Salem. Unbeknownst to Lizzie, on the day they visited Salem, Cody was walking around with a diamond ring in his pocket. He says he was nervous, but he knew Lizzie would accept his proposal because they are soul mates. She did, of course, and now they are looking forward to their upcoming union in the same town they committed to one another forever and always. Cody and Lizzie have experienced life in growth and in love, and look forward to choosing each other every day.
