What are the COVID testing requirements to fly?

Answer

You are required to fill out an online COVID attestation form 24 hours before departure. You do not need to obtain a COVID test to fly to Dominican Republic, however you need to get COVID tested within 24 hours before returning back to the USA. Lopesan offers COVID testing: $35 for viral antigen test $100 for PCR

Do I need to be vaccinated?

Answer

Make sure you are vaccinated and up to date with your COVID vaccines before traveling to the Dominican Republic. If you are not vaccinated and not up to date with your COVID vaccines, get tested with a viral test (PCR) as close to the time of departure as possible (no more than 72 hours before your trip).

-Sunscreen -Aloe Vera -CHAPSTICK -Hat -Swim shoes/water socks (if doing certain excursions) -Waterproof wallet/pouch for phones/card/money -Good book -Hand Sanitizer -Clothing: for a date night, bring dresses/pants for certain restaurants.

How do I prevent sunburns in the Caribbean?

-Start your week off with using a sunscreen with a strong SPF (SPF 70). As the week progresses, you decrease the SPF (SPF 50). By the end of the week, you should be at a lower SPF (SPF 30). -Bring ALOE VERA (in case of sunburn) and keep it cool in the mini bar in your room. -Make sure to REAPPLY sunscreen multiple times a day

You can view the registry on our website. If you are looking to give a gift, the best way is to do it virtually. We want to avoid traveling with a large amount of cash or gifts.

-You can pay with US dollars on the hotel property. If you are off the property, Dominican currency is preferred. -You get the best rates if you exchange from U.S to Dominican currency OR if you just use your credit card. -Food and drink at the hotel is free. -Excursions: $50-100 per person -Casino at Lopesan -Bring $1s, $5s, or $10s to tip your favorite bartenders, cleaning staff, spa services, etc. -Money for any activities that are not on the hotel property (taxi, food, drinks, etc)

'Evening elegant': ladies (dresses, long pants, dress shoes, or sandals) and Men (chinos or jeans, short or long sleeved shirts, with or without a collar, dress shoes, or sandals).

Can I drink water directly from the tap?

Answer

The water in Dominican Republic is NOT potable. The hotel provides bottled mineral water included in the package.
