Wedding Party

Morgan Pistoria

Co-Matron of Honor

Morgan and I met at the bowling alley. You read that right. My first job was at our local bowling alley with the title of “Birthday Party Hero”. Morgan bowled in a league and we met through a mutual friend. She quickly became the little sister I never had. From taking her to her first high school party, to standing by her side as her Maid of Honor, we have been through quite a bit together. Now it’s her turn to stand by my side on my big day :)

Lauren Copeland

Co-Matron of Honor

Lauren and I met at a pit bull rescue charity event called “Margaritas for Mutts” (Morgan was there too!). We bonded quite quickly over margaritas and eventually she became the the big sister I never had. She is always there when I need her through the good and the bad. And I need her now more than ever to get me down the aisle to marry the love of my life!

Bethany Burton

Bridesmaid

Bethany is my younger cousin. I have loved watching her grow from a sassy and sweet little girl to the gorgeous and intelligent woman she is now. The summer of her 8th birthday, I remember asking her to, one day when I get married, be one of my bridesmaids. She instantly said “yes!” And the time has finally come for her to fulfill my request. I am thrilled that she will have a little getaway from her sophomore year at Penn State (We Are!) to be by my side on this special day!

Gwen Cullis

Bridesmaid

Gwen is my sister-in-law and I couldn’t have asked for a better one. Although miles apart, every time we get together it’s like we saw each other last week and we have a blast. I had the pleasure and honor of being her bridesmaid in VEGAS! It was awesome to support her and be there for her as she married my brother. So now that I’m up to bat, I’m comforted knowing that I will have Gwen (and Chris!) up there at the end of the aisle waiting for me and supporting Juan and me on our wedding day.

Gil Phipps

Best Man

Gil (or the Phippers, as I call him) and I met back in 2000 when we both worked together at H-E-B in beautiful San Antonio, Texas. Shortly after that we became brothers (or as Gil would say “brothas”); Gil is simply the most creative and brilliant professional I have ever encountered in my career but most of all, one of the nicest human beings to ever step on this planet. I am beyond honored to have him by my side making funny and creative remarks as I marry my beloved gorgeous princess...

Christopher Cullis

Groomsman

Chris is my “cuñado” (Spanish for brother-in-law) and a truly nice guy. When we first met we hit it off, no wonder as he is the brother of the love of my life. I will never forget how supportive and genuinely excited he was when I first told I was going to proposed to his little sister. His kind and gentle demeanor made me feel a part of the family right away. Thanks Cuña! I am thrilled to have Chris stand next to me at this, the most important moment of my entire life.

Alonso Herrera

Groomsman

Alonso is another life-long friend and hermano del alma. We met back in first grade at the Colegio Don Bosco de Altamira (in Caracas, Venezuela), where we studied together and played futbolito (indoor soccer) until we graduated and moved on to college. After many years of staying in touch we re-encounter in Miami where he now lives. Alonso is a brilliant and successful entrepreneur (and a great basketball and futbolito player) but most of all a truly kind soul. I am fortunate to be able to call him my friend and brother. So no surprise that I couldn’t marry the love of my life without having him by my side.

Jorge Laurita

Groomsman

a.k.a. "Pilo" Yes, Pilo...that is how we all know him..I will never forget the first time I called him after school and after asking to speak with Jorge, his sister simply replied “you got the wrong number”. Pilo and I met in kindergarten many years ago (too many to tell) and we have been brothers ever since. I love this guy and couldn’t imagine going through life without him...he has supported me when I needed the most and I hope to have done the same for him. We have shared countless of adventures together and now we will share my best adventure ever. It is my honor to have mi hermano del alma Pilo, as my groomsman...Abrazos hermano!
