Our wedding will take place on October 18, 2025, at Sazilly Farm, located at 6960 Burkittsville Road, Middletown, MD 21769. Both the ceremony and reception will be graciously held at the home of Desmond’s parents, Edamarie Mattei and Kris Colby. Weather permitting, the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside. The ceremony will be on grass and and there will be movement from the ceremony to the reception. Keep this in mind when choosing footwear (aka wear comfy)! For everyone’s convenience, there will be bathroom trailers and a covered tent. We kindly ask that guests do not enter the house or barn.
Yes! The Wedding dress code is cocktail attire. We encourage guests to embrace fall colors but ask that no one wears white. Suits or dress pants with a jacket for men, and cocktail dresses, jumpsuits, or dressy separates for women. For Welcome Drinks and the Farewell Brunch we request chic casual attire. Think sundresses, sweaters, jeans, khakis, button downs and polos. No athletic wear, flip-flops, or graphic tees, please!
There will be two complimentary shuttle buses. Buses will depart for the ceremony from the Hilton Garden Inn Frederick at 3:45 pm. Following the reception at 10:30 pm, buses will take guests to the after-party in Frederick or back to the Hilton Garden Inn Frederick. Free parking will also be available at the venue. Overnight parking will be allowed.
Your presence is the best gift we could ask for! While gifts are not expected, if you’d like to contribute, we’ve put together a gift registry on our website. We’re also creating a postcard guest book. If you happen to pick up a postcard during your travels, we’d love for you to bring it to sign and add to our collection. Don’t worry if you don’t have one — we’ll have plenty available at the wedding.
We adore your little ones! However, our wedding will be an adults-only celebration, allowing you to relax, let loose, and enjoy a night out. Only those listed on the wedding invitation are invited, unless your invitation specifically says "Name and Guest."
