Travel Note

Booking Hotels

It is highly recommended that you book hotels ASAP. If you have any issues or would like more recommendations on places to stay, please let us know! There are very few hotels in Grand Marais, and some vacation rentals that are still available. Munising is roughly an hour away and has numerous hotels and rentals available. The wedding is taking place toward the beginning of color season and the end of the summer so hotels may go fast.

Travel Note

Traveling to Grand Marais

The fastest route between Munising and Grand Marais will be to head East on M-28 and then turn left onto M-77. Fair warning, the Seney stretch, between Shingleton and Seney, is the longest straight stretch of highway in the United States. It's an easy drive, but be careful not to get too comfortable. There is an abundance of deer and Michigan State Police. Your second option is to head east out of Munising on H-58. This drive takes you along the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore down a winding road. It is much more scenic, but a little slower of a drive. Perfect if you want to take your time and enjoy the ride. You will still encounter deer, but there are many other scenic stops along the way.

For all the days along the way
