We're (finally) getting married!

We went to the same high school, Ralston Highschool, for just a couple years, running around in the same friend circle, but never really knew each other or talked to each other. Then Vinny moved to Lincoln, and we didn't see each other for almost 7 years or so. One night in 2017 I was going to hang out with our friends and they called me as they were on the way to pick me up and told me that the plans had changed and we were going to meet up with Vinny at Big John's Billiards. I didn't think much of it, just that I hadn't seen Vinny in so long and I didn't know what to expect. When we got there Vinny and I hugged and said it was nice to see each other again and the night got started. We had a few drinks, Vinny taught me how to play pool, and he flirted A LOT. By the early morning hours, I had an Instagram message from Vinny saying he had wanted to ask for my number, and we started talking. We didn't really have a moment where we decided to start dating officially, we just kind of kept coming around each other and didn't stop. So we decided that our anniversary date would be the date of when we went on our first official date. We went to the movies, nothing fancy. Eventually I moved in (more like, I stayed the night and never left one night). The years progressed and we moved into our first house together, where we shortly found out we were expecting a baby. We've now lived in our house for 6 years, and this kid runs the house. But we are just a happy little family. We just need to make it official and get a name changed. We've gone through so many ups and downs, family health emergencies, sobriety, vacations, job switches, mental health struggles, promotions, holidays, anniversaries, birthdays, and lots of firsts for a kid! I mean, there's a lot to be fit into 8 years of time spent with another person! But good or bad, it's all been worth it to spend the days together. Here's to many more years and a life together!
