We’re Getting Married!

Desiree and Jerome first met in the midst of Covid-19 during the first year of college at Frostburg State University. Their dorms were right across the hall from each other. What started as a simple friendship between the two, blossomed into a love story often only seen in fairytales. November 9th, 2020 Jerome asked Desiree to be his girlfriend and she gladly accepted. From then on, both knew that distance was truly the only thing keeping them apart. With Desiree living in Auburn Hills, MI and Jerome living in Havre De Grace, MD, the couple knew that something had to change. May 6th, 2021, Jerome and Desiree moved into their apartment on East Mechanic Street in Frostburg, MD, accompanied by their bearded dragon, Morty, and newly adopted cat, Tito. In August of 2021, Jerome and Desiree added a new addition to their growing family, Princess the cat. In December of 2022, Jerome and Desiree added one last piece of their familial puzzle, Klaus the cat. The couple graduated from Frostburg State University in May of 2024 with Jerome receiving a bachelor’s degree in accounting and Desiree receiving a bachelor’s degree in nursing. The two decided to move themselves and their family to Hyattsville, MD to start their adult lives together. On May 26th of 2024, the couple had just finished moving into their new apartment in their new town, with the help of family on both sides. Jerome knew this was the perfect time to officially asked Desiree to be his wife. While surrounded by loved ones, Jerome got down on one knee and proposed. Desiree tearfully accepted. The couple knew the perfect date for them to say ‘I do’ was their favorite holiday, Halloween. Since 2020, the couple has traveled to many destinations including trips to their home towns, Los Angeles, California, Jacksonville, Florida, Hendersonville, North Carolina, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Ocean City, Maryland, Annapolis Maryland, Washington, D.C., Mackinac Island, Michigan, Saint Ignace, Michigan, and many other destinations. Jerome and Desiree believe that Home to them is considered where the other person is, and as long as they’re together, anywhere can be called Home.
