We're getting married!!

It all started with a slide into his DMs. Initially, my Thursday night coed team was short a guy and David was asked to fill in by a mutual friend. I didn't think much of it. I had known "of him", but never had really spent any time around him in the past. He filled in with us one week, then the next, and then the following, and then I finally thought to myself "Ok, who is this guy?". He was funny, tall, cute, and good at softball...what more could a girl want, lol! I tried to creep on David's Facebook page to get some details, but it was filled with nothing but ads for his friends businesses and some pictures of him kayak fishing. I thought, well maybe his profile is private and that's why I can't see any juicy details. I sent him a friend request and waited for him to accept. Once he did, I went to his profile to finally be able to do some sleuthing. The amount of disappointment that came over me when it was still the same boring profile prompted me to message him early in the morning before work and just let him know how disappointed I was. I slid into his DM's and told him that being his Facebook friend was the "most anticlimactic friendship acceptance" I'd ever had. I think he realized at that point that he was dealing with someone that could match his wit and also had a knack for trash talking. We spent a couple weeks playfully making fun of each other via text all day, everyday along with getting to know each other on a more personal level. Day after day we realized we had a lot more in common than just sarcasm and softball. He had an upcoming golf scramble and wanted to go to the driving range prior to and invited me to join. Of course I agreed to go for a good laugh (and to show off). Our driving range date led to lunch afterwards, and then to him inviting me over for dinner and a bonfire that night. From that night until now we've both grown to love each other more with each day. It started with a DM slide and led to happily ever after!
