I wish I met you sooner so I could love you longer.

We have known each other for years as fellow parents at our girls school. “Hello” friends at pickup, waves at Harvest Festivals, and quick support sessions during the ups and downs of adulting. Six years later we saw each other at a school dance… hugs and hellos and a brief offer from Caleb to bring some additional raised garden beds after seeing Desiree’s garden on Instagram. (Hmmmm interesting!!) Months later, Des got a Facebook message offer to deliver the garden beds. The joke is, the morning of the delivery Des said she would be out until after noon and Caleb says he didn’t believe it because she was freshly showered, dressed with makeup on for a Sunday of “errands with the girls.” And Des says “we hugged and he smelled like yummy soap and beard oil so don’t let him fool you! He was flirting too!”
