Our Wedding Has Changed...

To our Family & Friends: Brody and I had to make the heart-wrenching decision to cancel our large wedding at the Bleckley Inn in Anderson, South Carolina. Due to the current circumstances that we are facing, we felt it best to not have a gathering of 175-200 people. Your health and safety are very important to us. With that being said, we have decided to move forward with a very small and intimate wedding with our closest family and the bridal party. We hope that you understand that this was not an easy decision for us as we were extremely excited to celebrate our big day with all of you. We are so thankful for all of your love & support and were looking forward to seeing you all. While these changes were not what we had ever imagined happening, we are excited to still be able to say "I do" on our original date in Charleston, South Carolina and we hope that all of you continue to love and support us. We love you. Sincerely, Desiree & Brody

Unsave the Date

Dear Friends & Family, Due to recent circumstances and the uncertainty of the remaining year, we have cancelled our big day. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused. Your health and safety is our top priority. With Love, Desiree & Brody We still do & we still will

How We Met

2018

Brody and I first met at the Frothy Monkey in the Nations (a coffee shop in Nashville). Before you get excited, this isn't some "he accidentally bumped into me at a coffee shop cute story"...it's cuter. Let me back up a bit: Brody used to work for the company that I currently work for. When he left, he told the National Sales Director that he would help the new hire get settled into the territory, whoever it may be (luckily, it was me!). Once I was in the territory, the National Sales Director gave me Brody's number. I didn't hesitate to reach out because I wanted to learn as much as possible, and who better to learn from than the previous rep?! We got in touch and he agreed to meet me at a coffee shop to give me notes and pointers for the territory. And then, out of nowhere...it happened. This hunk of a man walked into the coffee shop in his golf gear while I sat there in my work out clothes (not cute, I promise), no makeup, and a ratted knot on the top of my head. He came over, introduced himself, and sat down. We ended up sitting at the Frothy Monkey and talking for almost two hours. After we parted ways, I would text him with "questions about the territory". Little did he know, I didn't really have questions, I was just making them up so I could talk to him. We became and remained friends for months after we met. We started hanging out more and more, getting to know each other. I started falling in love with his heart and how he loves his family and treats those around him. Along with that, he would attend church with me, and that was so special. We have built a solid foundation and strive to keep God the focus of our relationship. We have always encouraged and supported each other since we met and we feel very lucky to be planning our wedding with everyone we love. We are so excited for this life that we are building together and so SO thankful to have all of you be a part of it.
