How We Met

May 2014

When Aaron moved to Vegas in May 2014, he took a job at Harrahs. Not knowing anyone, one of his co-workers suggested a dating website as a way to get to know people and make friends. Aaron joined Plenty of Fish. Desiree was already a member and when she came across Aaron's profile she reached out to him. They talked for a couple days before setting up their first date. . . the Cheesecake Factory on May 28th, 2014. From that day on, the two never separated.

The Proposal

May 9th, 2019

My parents gifted us an amazing cruise to Alaska in May of 2019. The trip was incredible and we got to do and see things we probably never would have. During the day of the 9th, we were treated to spectacular views of the beautiful Glacier Bay. Our reservations for dinner that night were at Cagney's steakhouse on the boat. The food was incredible and Aaron would have proposed then, but he forgot the ring in the room. Once we got back to the room we immediately went out to the balcony to watch the sunset like we had done every night previously. Aaron suggested I take photos of the sunset while he went to put his "watch" away. When he came back out to the balcony he said "Happy Anniversary babe" to which I replied (while still taking photos) "It's not our anniversary yet". He said "It is now". And I turned around to find him on one knee with the perfect ring. Tears in our eyes I immediately said "YES!" followed by a softer "Finally".

For all the days along the way
