Sharing is caring

A Decade of Love, Laughter, and Controlled Chaos Ten years ago, two people met at work and thought it would just be another ordinary day at Amazon. I was a problem solver focused, efficient, and deep in the never-ending world of backlog. He was a PA with one mission that seemed suspiciously personal: to annoy her just enough to get her attention. And it worked. It all started with a random Skype message. A simple “hey” from a PA who was trying to be nice… or so he claimed. She, being very much in “do not disturb my workflow” mode, responded with the kind of standoffish energy only someone buried in backlog can understand. But he didn’t give up. Day by day, he kept finding reasons to talk—small jokes, casual check-ins, harmless small talk that slowly chipped away at her serious exterior. And somewhere between the messages and the eye rolls, something started to shift. Then came the turning point: a protein cookie. One day, he offered to share a protein cookie with her. Simple. Random. Unnecessary. But somehow, that small gesture changed everything. It wasn’t really about the cookie it was about the kindness behind it, the consistency, and the way he kept showing up even when she didn’t make it easy. And just like that… the rest was history. Fast forward ten years, four beautiful kids later, and a life full of ups, downs, laughter, chaos, love, and a whole lot of “did you handle that?” moments we're still here. Still choosing each other every day. Through sleepless nights, school runs, work stress, and all the beautiful madness that comes with building a life together, we've proven something simple but powerful, love isn’t perfect, but it is persistent. And sometimes, it starts with a Skype message… and a protein cookie. Ten years later, we're still each other’s favorite person to annoy. And the best part? Our story is still being written.
