We met in early 2024 at an eight-week Bible study series at our home parish, St. Martin de Porres. Phil was a weekly attendee, and I was a volunteer facilitator floating from table to table to help with group discussions. Following one of the weekly meetings, Phil asked me if I would give up my number for Lent. I did.

We got engaged on April 11, 2025 during a family trip to Sedona, AZ. After a day of picturesque hikes among the red rocks and a fancy dinner in town, Phil proposed with my grandmother’s ring, which had been hidden in a 3D-printed box that my dad designed.
