Justin and I met when Gary and Nel convinced me to come out for “just one drink”. It ended up being a lot more than one after Justin and Scotty showed up. Totally a chance meeting that turned into our happy ever after. Annette, Justin’s mom, likes to take some credit because her New Year’s Resolution was for Justin to find his person. She must have had pretty decent timing. Although we grew up in the same town and knew of one another, this night really was our beginning. Our first official date, Justin invited me over to his place for dinner and a movie. We were both nervous as heck! He made me dinner and we watched Crazy, Rich Asians. That was the first time we heard “our song” together. Flash forward three years, two moves, a surprise pregnancy, months in NICU, a pandemic, job loss, the loss of one of our fur babies and the million minutes of happy between each hard moment. We make the very best team and I can’t wait to see how our story unfolds.
