We're getting married!

We met on Hinge in December 2019 and went on our first date on January 30, 2020. From the very beginning, everything just felt easy. A few months later, the world shut down—but in a way, that’s when our story really began. During those early days at home, Nick started something we called our daily “Beer Walk.” Each day, we’d head out with a drink in hand, walking, talking, and getting to know each other in the best way! Those walks quickly became our favorite part of the day—filled with stories, laughter, and plenty of silliness (including cartwheels and rolling down hills)! Over time, those simple walks turned into something even more special—exploring new places together, including many walks through the Chicago Botanic Garden. It quickly became one of our favorite spots, a place that holds so many memories for us. What started as something simple grew into something so much more. We became part of each other’s families, traveled to new places, celebrated at weddings, and showed up for each other through all of life’s big and small moments. In November 2023, we took a big step and bought our first home. Since then, we’ve poured our hearts into making it our own—renovating just about everything (except for our infamous “bar” bathroom… still a work in progress!). On March 8, 2026, during one of our walks at the Chicago Botanic Garden, Nick got down on one knee and turned one of our favorite places into the start of our next chapter—and of course, the answer was yes!
