Terry and Desi started in a sort of unconventional way in late 2018. After doing a meet-cute at a bowling alley they both were impressed by the rat-a-tat they were able to engage in. Desi was interested in hanging out with Terry again and she knew he felt the same way. They ended up going out another time with friends and then Terry tagged along with Desi to the gym at 2am one day. They had some laughs while working out together and then started talking more over the next day. While attending a new years eve party Desi and Terry were pretty drawn to one another. The catch was, Desi did not know Terry was leaving in two days to go back to New York. On new years day, while having a deep conversation, Terry turned to Desi and said, "So, do you want to be my girlfriend, or what?" Desi laughed and said "uh, yeah" and so the relationship began. Terry went back to his base in New York and for the first year, they made long distance work, and it was work.
