They met in a modern way. Their first date was at a local restaurant on a cold night. David was all dressed up in his blue coat, and Desiree in her puffy coat. As soon as David laid his eyes on Desiree, he couldn’t stop smiling!!! They were so wrapped up in getting to know each other that they didn’t even notice the restaurant closing around them. That night of nonstop talking and shared smiles was the beginning of something truly special, and the rest is history.

We decided to take a trip to California that summer. The trip started in a beautiful place called Carmel-by-the-Sea, after a cozy dinner, David insisted we go see the sunset on the beach. We walked down to the beach with the waves and golden skies, pausing to take some pictures and soak in the view. As I turned away to film a view of the ocean, I turned back around to find him on one knee. I was so surprised, I accidentally gave him the wrong hand! But it was the easiest “yes” of my life and a moment we’ll never forget. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Poughkeepsie!
