We're so excited to share this moment with you

I’ll never forget the day I met kyia me and my best friend Marcus used to always go to downtown Birmingham to walk around and hangout. One night was a special night I ran into an old lady friend.. I was by myself she came with a friend (which was kyia). we all hung out went to the movies then went to Coney Island the whole night I ain’t say a word to kyia, I think I was trying to act cool or something.. instead of talking to her to ask her out right then and there , I waited.. straight after I got home I found her Facebook and decided to write her.. when can I take you out?. I asked her, I checked the message like ever couple of minutes.. there was no answer. then doubt started to settle in I told myself, “bro you look stupid how you didnt say a word to her then, go on Facebook to write something like that? You could of atleast said Hi or something simple.. she don’t even know you.. It was late so I decided to stop checking and go to sleep. I woke up the next day check my Facebook and boom a new message from kyia.. I’m like oh yeah it’s on!!! I open the message.. it read “idk” it wasn’t a no, so to me that was a you tell me I’m ready when you are.. so I replied lets go out this weekend.. few weeks go by still no reply. I’m going on her Facebook page looking at her write all these status updates, so Im feeling discourage all over again.. couple more weeks go by I run into kyia at a football game.. I thought to myself, this time I must say something or I’m going to regret it. So I spoke to her we talk for a lil while I ended up getting her number. I ain’t waste no time, that same night I called her and we ended up falling asleep on the phone.. from that point on we couldn’t live without each other. we ain’t have to do anything, have any plans just to be in each other’s presence was more than enough.

On May 30,2021 we boarded a Delta aircraft to LA, when we arrived in LA the plan was to board an Air Tahiti aircraft to Bora Bora to celebrate DeShuns 27th birthday. when we arrived at the Air Tahiti gate to board the plane we were stopped at the desk to receive our boarding passes only to find out that you had to be fully vaccinated (we were not at the time) and that you had to be accepted into the county by the French Polynesian high commissioner (lol no i didn’t t look into this prior to the trip i thought DeShun had everything under control). We didn’t do any of these so we were not able to board the plane, the lady at the dest helped us get all the paperwork we needed done and told us we would be able to board the plane that left the next day but we would have to call customer service in the morning . So we left and got a room in LA for the night. the next morning when i called the airline they told me a would have to change my tickets through the third party that i booked through. When i called then they told me they were unable to change my flight because I was a no show witch was complete crap. Now this is where things get crazy, DeShun gets mad we start arguing literally complete hell. It’s s now the day before his birthday and he's mad because he had so much planned in Bora Bora for his birthday (or maybe for an extravagant proposal) after a few hours we decide to book a flight to Hawaii. We arrived on a late flight and had a long day so soon as we checked into our hotel we went to sleep. The next day we go out to explore the beautiful Hawaii (and yes here comes more bad news) we get to the pool to get towels where we give our room number and the lady tells us nobody’s checked into the room and we're sent to the front desk. Once again it gets crazy and there is a lot of back and forth, it's too much so i walk away DeShun meets the manager and tells her our story and how he planned on proposing in Bora Bora but things didn't go as planned.

Just when i thought this birthday vacation for DeShun was going completely down the drain I find out that he and the manager had come to an agreement to a 200 dollar credit and tickets to the Luau that night. He seemed fine with that so of course i was as well anything that made him happy seeing that it was his birthday. We enjoyed the rest of the day out in the sun, everything started going great I was just happy he began to enjoy his birthday vacation. Later that night we get ready and attend the Luau it was absolutely beautiful. The host begins picking people in the crowd just simply asking them where they are from eventually she gets to Mr. Brown and asks him whats going on in his life he starts rambling about our relationship, kids and so forth in my head I'm wondering why is he talking so much he doesn’t do stuff like this in front of big crowds like this. Then he asked me to stand up and that's when i knew something that i never thought was happening was happening, and when he got down on one knee i just became over joyed. At that moment i knew exactly what it felt like to be the happiest person in the world! Everything turned out absolutely amazing. Oh yea I forgot the part when i said YES!
