Like every love story, there are happy moments and there are not so happy moments. Luckily, our happy ones outweigh the bad! Lou and Des met at a pre New Years Eve party 10 years ago! As people started leaving, Lou and Des found their way to the bar for a drink. As small talk progressed, Des offered to buy Lou a drink. He happily accepted! He drank Corona and she had Modelo (still their favorite beer). They hit it off immediately & spoke everyday. They both supported each others dreams & aspirations throughout the years. Watching them grow together has been incredibly exciting! From a tiny apartment to a house, from 1 dog to 3, jobs to careers, & many adventures later!

Though this may sound like a fairytale, it was far from it. As the years went on, it didn’t take them long to figure out that they didn't communicate their feelings very well (or at all) and were both stubborn and proud. Afterall, they met when they were just kids! They split after 7 years of trying. While being away from each other, they both learned things about themselves that they didn't realize before. Absence makes the heart grow fonder- and it certainly did. Lou made his way back to Des & shortly asked her for her hand in marriage 6 months later. They had a civil ceremony on July 29, 2016. That defining moment, their life changed and he granted her everything she had ever prayed for. They've held hands from the very beginning and even though they were apart for a short while, they haven't let go since!

On December 31st, 2018 - New Year's Eve, their union of love will finally be complete and recognized by the catholic church - the same church where they shared their 1st date! The same church Des' parents were married in! Some things were meant to be, and some things were meant to be forever! Thank you for being apart of it!
