Should you wish to explore other parts of the country we also recommend Kilkenny (1.5 hours from Dublin), Galway (2 hours from Dublin) or Westport, County Mayo (3 hours from Dublin). 

Alternatively, if you plan to return home via Northern Ireland, the North Coast is a beautiful place to visit.
